This page outlines what to expect when ordering a SpaCrete freestanding bathtub, including lead times, delivery, receiving, access planning, and installation preparation.

SpaCrete bathtubs may be in stock or made to order. Most orders ship in approximately 6-8 weeks from order placement, though lead times can vary based on production volume, finish coordination, and destination. If your project is working to a fixed schedule or requires rush consideration, contact SpaCrete before ordering.

SpaCrete ships throughout Canada and the continental USA. Online shipping coverage does not currently extend to Yukon, Iqaluit, the Northwest Territories, or Alaska. If your project is in a remote area, on an island, requires ferry service, or is outside standard checkout coverage, contact SpaCrete before ordering so delivery options and freight pricing can be reviewed directly.

Cross-border duties, taxes, customs-related fees, and other destination-specific charges remain the purchaser’s responsibility where applicable.

Every SpaCrete bathtub is tested and thoroughly inspected before shipping. It is then wrapped in protective plastic, covered with a blanket, and secured to a specially designed wood-framed crate.

This crate is part of the delivery and installation strategy, not just basic packaging. It is designed to protect the bathtub in transit, support safer handling, and help simplify positioning at the project site.

SpaCrete bathtubs are also engineered to be lighter than many traditional concrete bathtubs, which can help reduce some of the handling challenges buyers often associate with concrete. Where site conditions require it, the crated bathtub can be carefully handled in a standing orientation using safe methods and appropriate equipment.

The crate also incorporates built-in support locations that correspond with the installation support points. This allows the bathtub to be positioned in place and the crate deconstructed around it, leaving the bathtub supported at those same locations before final lowering and installation.

Concrete bathtubs raise reasonable questions about weight, access, and movement through the home. SpaCrete addresses this more thoughtfully than a typical heavy concrete fixture. The bathtub design is optimized for reduced weight compared with many traditional concrete bathtubs, and the crate system is specifically designed to support safer handling and a more efficient installation process.

That said, delivery planning should still be taken seriously. Before delivery day, confirm that the installation location is structurally sound, flat, and level, and review the full access route into the home and bathroom. Tight turns, narrow openings, stairs, finished surfaces, and site-specific constraints should be considered before the bathtub arrives.

The waste location, drain alignment, and installation method should also be reviewed in advance. The bathtub should be leak-checked before final installation is completed.

If access is limited or the project has unusual handling requirements, contact SpaCrete before ordering. Solving those questions early is far better than trying to solve them after freight is booked or the bathtub is already on site.

Upon delivery, inspect the bathtub carefully before installation. Review the crate, protective wrapping, and all visible surfaces. Any damage resulting from shipping or delivery must be reported to the carrier immediately. Do not install a damaged bathtub.

If hidden damage is discovered after unpacking, document it immediately, photograph the crate and packaging, keep all packaging materials, and notify both the carrier and SpaCrete right away.
